My post-Christmas trip to New York City was amazing. The weather was grand--literally we did not need a coat the entire time we were there. The day we flew home, it snowed! I think one of my favorite things was seeing NYC from The Top of the Rock . You ride to the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Center (aka NBC Studios) and you can see a 360 degree view of the city. Picture 1 is looking at te Empire State Building from the Top of the Rock. Picture 2 is the Bread Man at Grand Central Station. This is some great bread! #3 is the Greenflea Market on Columbus. It is held every Sat. & Sun and is such fun. There are booths outside, including fruit, veggies, breads, candles, etc. as well as antiques, jewelry, junque. Inside the school are hundreds of booths, throughout the halls and in the gym. This elementary school has rented out the space for this market for years and it has enabled the school to buy computers, art supplies, books, etc. What a concept!?! #4 is Bono & me....Well it is me with a huge portrait of Bono at the Hard Rock in Times Square. (#5) My sister and her two daughters were my traveling companions--it was fun. We walked a million miles and dragged our butts into bed every night, but we made the most of every minute. There is so much to see and never enough time! More later......
